We use a webhosting service provider to provide our online services securely and efficiently. We rely on its infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space, databases, technical maintenance and security services.

Through the mere use of our website, a number of data are automatically collected by the systems within the context of web hosting. This data is technically necessary to ensure the stability and security of the systems. The processing is carried out on the legal basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1f) GDPR).
Such data (in the context of access/log files) may include IP address, date/time of the request, content of the requested page, transmitted content, transmitted data volumes, referring website, browser, operating system, language, etc.

A SPECIAL NOTE: COOKIES

Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on your computer by your browser. They enable the analysis of your use of the website, but also the allocation of the contents requested by you.

There are two different types of cookies.
Temporary cookies (e.g. session cookies) are automatically deleted by your browser as soon as you have left the website or, depending on your settings, when you have closed your browser. These cookies are necessary for a proper use of the website.

Permanent cookies remain active in the computer's memory until you actively log out or until a predefined duration has been exceeded. You can also actively delete these cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser. These cookies can save the interests of users or be used for reach measurement or marketing purposes.

There are also essential cookies that are necessary for the operation of the functionality of the website.

This website only uses temporary cookies that are necessary for the operation of the website. Since these are essential for the use of the online offer, their processing is based on the legal basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1f) GDPR).

A SPECIAL NOTE: NEWSLETTER

We send out a newsletter in regular intervals to keep our subscribers up to date about new developments as well as new products and services.

The registration to our newsletter is always done by the so-called Double-Opt-In procedure. After you register for the newsletter in the corresponding form on our website with your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail with a confirmation link. If you confirm your subscription to the newsletter by clicking the link, the registration process is complete. In order to document the legal requirements for proof of this double opt-in, our newsletter service provider logs your IP address and the time of consent. For the purpose of a permanent objection to the receipt of the newsletter, your e-mail address will be stored in a blacklist. The logging of the proper course of the registration/deregistration process is based on the legal basis of the legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1f) GDPR).

The dispatch of the newsletter is again based on the legal basis of consent (Art. 6 (1a) GDPR). This consent can be revoked at any time. To do so, simply click on the unsubscribe link in the footer of each newsletter or contact us by e-mail at info@dohse-aquaristik.de">dispatch of the newsletter is again based on the legal basis of consent (Art. 6 (1a) GDPR). This consent can be revoked at any time. To do so, simply click on the unsubscribe link in the footer of each newsletter or contact us by e-mail at info@dohse-aquaristik.de - we will be happy to help you.

Furthermore, our newsletter service provider allows us to analyse the success of our newsletter campaign. For this purpose, newsletters contain so-called web beacons - very small transparent images that are loaded from the newsletter provider's server when the newsletter is viewed, thus indicating that the e-mail has been opened. When you access these web beacons, technical information as well as information about your browser and computer system, its IP address and the time of access are collected. Furthermore, it will be collected which links were clicked. This information can be assigned to the user for technical reasons, but it is not our aim to spy on the user. We only want to make our content better and more interesting for you by analyzing it.

This processing of your enquiry is based on the legal basis of the fulfilment of pre-contractual/contractual measures (Art. 6 (1b) GDPR) and furthermore on the justified interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6 (1f) GDPR).

We will not pass on the data received from you to third parties without your prior consent. We will delete the data arising in this connection after storage is no longer necessary (e.g. when the enquiry has been completed) or restrict processing if there are legal storage obligations.

A SPECIAL NOTE: EMBEDDED FUNCTIONS AND CONTENTS

We always try to make the contents of our website interesting and useful for you. For this purpose, we integrate functional and content elements from other providers ("third party providers"). These may be maps, fonts, videos, graphics or other interactive content.

The integration of such content requires that the third party provider receives your IP address. Without your IP address, the third party provider will not be able to display/transmit the Content to you. When retrieving the content, the third party provider may set cookies to analyze visitor traffic to the pages you visit. Furthermore, data such as location data, duration of the visit, referring pages, information on the operating system and browser could be processed.

We use the content of these third-party providers based on the legal basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1f) GDPR).

ON WHAT LEGAL BASIS IS THE DATA PROCESSING BASED?

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is in principle - insofar as there are no specific legal provisions - Article 6 GDPR. The following possibilities are particularly relevant here:

- Data processing on the basis of consent (Article 6(1a) GDPR)
- Data processing for the performance of contracts or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1b) GDPR)
- Data processing based on a balancing of interests (Article 6(1f) GDPR)

If personal data is processed on the basis of your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.

If we process data on the basis of a weighing of interests, you as the data subject have the right to object to the processing of personal data, taking into account the provisions of Article 21 GDPR.

HOW LONG IS THE DATA STORED?

We process the data as long as this is necessary for the respective purpose.

Insofar as there are legal storage obligations - e.g. in commercial law or tax law - the personal data concerned will be stored for the duration of the storage obligation. After expiry of the obligation to retain data, we will check whether there is any further need for processing. If a necessity no longer exists, the data will be deleted.

As a matter of principle, towards the end of a calendar year, we examine data with regard to the need for further processing. Due to the volume of data, this examination is carried out with regard to specific types of data or the purpose of processing.

Of course, you can at any time (see "Your rights as a data subject") request information about the data we have stored about you and, if not necessary, request that the data be deleted or processing be restricted.

TO WHICH RECIPIENTS WILL THE DATA BE PASSED ON?

Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract with you, if the passing on is permitted on the basis of a weighing of interests within the meaning of Article 6 (1f) GDPR, if we are legally obliged to pass on the data or if you have given your consent. In the run-up to a possible disclosure of your data, we make sure that the protection of your data is also guaranteed with the third party.

WHERE DO WE PROCESS YOUR DATA?

Your personal data is processed by us in computer centres in the Federal Republic of Germany, the European Union or the European Economic Area.

We have no influence on where your data is processed by the newsletter or embedded content providers. For further details please consult their data protection notices.

YOUR RIGHTS AS A "DATA SUBJECT"

You have the right to be informed about the personal data we process about you and have access to this data.

In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require you to provide evidence that proves that you are the person you claim to be.

When requesting information/access, we would like to point out that we do not have access to the metadata that is/was processed by the newsletter or embedded content provider. Therefore, we cannot provide you with any information on this. Only the respective provider in itself has access to the data that is stored about its users in order to provide information and only this provider has access to take appropriate measures if necessary. Should you nevertheless require assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Furthermore, you have the right to correction or deletion or to restriction of processing, as far as you are legally entitled to do so.

Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing within the framework of the legal requirements. The same applies to a right to data transferability.

In particular, you have a right of objection in accordance with Article 21 (1 and 2) GDPR against the processing of your data in connection with a direct advertising campaign, if this is based on a weighing of interests.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data by us.
